A stress-related medical condition is heart disease. Your blood pressure can increase with stress, and a high B/P level is one of the main task factors for a cardiovascular problem. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the US. Treatment and prevention of heart disease almost always include stress reduction and relaxation training.

Another effect of chronic stress is a weakening of the immune system, leaving individuals more prone to infection. Meditation and relaxation have been shown to strengthen the immune system. Meditation on the Word of God can bring a peace that will surpass all of your understanding naturally.

On a daily basis. stress can contribute to symptoms such as an upset stomach, decreased interest in sex, headaches, back pain, insomnia, and gastrointestinal issues.

So, not only can stress contribute but to life threatening conditions, it can also lead to a lot of non-life threatening physical discomfort.

The Bible speaks of meditation on God's Word day ad tight, how that lighter does good like a medicine and if we harbor anything evil in our heart or evil thoughts, it can lead to destruction.
